Valve’s puzzle game darling, Portal 2, will finally be getting its custom level creator with the implementation of the “Perpetual Testing Initiative” on May 8th.
The initiative will allow players to create, share and play user-created Portal 2 puzzles through the use of the simplified level creator that will be built into the game. Finished levels (or even poorly-made ones with a giant moat) can be shared through the Steam Workshop for users to browse through, play and vote on. Puzzles selected for downloaded will automatically download and install in-game.
The free DLC for Portal 2 will apply for both Mac and PC versions.
