Nintendo Announces New Super Mario Bros 2 for 3DS and 20 Years of Kirby for Wii

Nintendo has unveiled the second game in the New Super Mario Bros. series for the Nintendo 3DS, and a 20th Anniversary compilation for Kirby on the Wii.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 brings back the traditional platforming game back to the Nintendo 3DS with Mario and Luigi with the rest of the other supporting cast and minions. Screenshot’s from Nintendo Japan’s Nintendo Direct presser did show Tanooki Mario’s second 3DS appearance. If the original New Super Mario Bros is any sign, you can’t go wrong with a Mario platformer.

The 20th Anniversary Kirby Compilation will contain fan-favourite games from the series featuring the pink puff ball. Nintendo will also be hosting special activities to commemorate the special event.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 will arrive in August for North America and the Kirby Compilation is bound for “later this year”.
