Apple has expanded the local iTunes Stores in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and 9 other Asian countries to handle more than just apps from today.
From the press release, there will be over 20 million songs available to purchase on the 12 new stores, featuring artists from local and international scenes. Most songs will cost S$1.28, which is technically still US$0.99. The currency changes were made on the store recently so locals know how much they are really forking our for their goods. iTunes Match has also been made available for users to access their music from any iOS device with the music they currently own, but not necessarily purchased from the iTunes Store. This service will run users S$31.98 a year.
Also added to the 12 stores are the range of major full-length movies from Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. Pictures available for purchase or rental in full HD or SD versions. There are no TV Shows added to the mix as of yet.
