Michael Fassbender, who recently appeared as an android on Prometheus, is set to play a “lead role” in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie.

According to a report from Variety, Michael Fassbender will be attached to act in a lead role and co-produce the movie. Whether that lead role will turn out to be confused experimented subject Desmond Miles or a blade-hiding Assassin ancestor has yet to be determined, though his role as Desmond is more than likely. If that is the case, however, what will the lesser lead role of the Assassin be?

The flick is set for a 2014 release with no word on who will be directing.
