In more exciting news out of Comic-Con, IDW Publishing and Hasbro have announced a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic launching this November. The series will be written by Katie Cook and illustrated by Andy Price; they’re both big fans of MLP.

The comic book licensing deal for MLP means that publisher IDW now has a hand in almost all of Hasbro’s major IPs, including G. I. Joe, Transformers, and Dungeons & Dragons. Don’t keep your fingers crossed for crossovers, though. Said editor Bobby Curnow to Comics Alliance: “I’d love that as well. Anything is possible, I supposed! (But not likely!)”

We don’t really see ponies clashing with giant robots, anyway.
