EA has announced new social features to Origin including achievements and challenges with a new UI.

EA is also prepping the release and support of Origin on the Mac, essentially doing what Valve did two years ago with Steam, but with more EA titles, like the new SimCity, which was confirmed for Mac this February during the same conference at gamescom. Hopefully this will affect the Singapore store, because the majority of it all are PC downloads.

Incidentally, a nice 50% sale has begun storewide on Origin, if you want to pick up some downloads for your Windows PC, like everything from The Sims 3 collection sans Supernatural and Seasons Pre-Order. Sale ends 1st September.
