The days of CounterStrike are back, and better than ever.

Peripherals company Armaggeddon has announced its Armaggeddon CounterStrike: Global Offensive Southeast Asian Tournament. Boasting a prize pool of S$20,000 of cash and prizes, the grand finals will be held during computer fair Compex 2012, on September 1 & 2 2012.

Up to 32 local teams will duke it out in round robin qualifiers and double-elimination semi-finals for the pride of representing Singapore at the multinational grand finals.

The Armaggeddon tournament is supported not only by powerhouses ASUS and AMD, but also local startup Aftershock PC – custom laptop builders with whom we had a chance to talk to last week (stay tuned to our review of their notebooks).

The qualifiers for the tournament will be held on the weekends of August 18 & 19 and August 25 & 26 at Aftershock PC’s premises, located along Serangoon Road.

Interested Counterstrikers may sign up for the Armaggeddon CS: GO S.E.A. Tournament here.
