Level-5 has announced the sixth main title (that does not include the upcoming crossover adventure with Phoenix Wright) that will also be the puzzle-master’s last.

Professor Layton and the Legacy of Super Civilization A was announced during last night’s Nintendo Direct presentation. The game will bring the prequel trilogy of the series to an end, as well as Professor Layton’s tenure as main protagonist. It’s probably too early to tell if there will be a replacement for the Professor or a 7th title.

The game will hit Japanese Nintendo 3DSes at least, in 2013.
