The PlayStation Vita 1.8 firmware update went live yesterday, and now allows Vita owners to purchase and play select PSOne Classic games! All the more reason to get a PS Vita now, eh?

The North American PSN store only has nine PSOne games available when accessed via the Vita handheld, but getting onto it with your PlayStation 3 opens up a slew of options. The games can be transferred onto the Vita by downloading the game onto your PS3, connecting the Vita and using the proprietary Content Manager to copy the game over.
